Available values:

Name	Description
None	A user cannot select points or series.
Single	A single point or series can be selected at the same time.
Multiple	Multiple points or series can be selected at the same time.

Remarks

A user should click a point to select it.

Specify the DxChartSeriesPoint.SelectionMode property to define in which manner other series points are selected when a user selects a point. For example, the click on a point selects all points of the series when the AllPoints mode is enabled. You can also set the DxChartSeriesPoint.SelectionMode property to None to disable point selection at the series level.

You can also specify the DxChart.SeriesSelectionMode property to allow users to select entire series.

Note

For discrete series (for example, bars), the DxChart.PointSelectionMode property has a higher priority over the DxChart.SeriesSelectionMode property. This means that these properties are not applied simultaneously.

Example

The following example enables selection for a line chart:

• A user can select multiple points. Points with the same argument are selected when the user selects a point.
• A user can select an entire series by clicking a line segment. When the user selects a series, the selection of the previously selected series is reset.
