Specifies the minimum date that can be selected in the date editor.
Namespace: DevExpress.Blazor
Assembly: DevExpress.Blazor.v24.2.dll
NuGet Package: DevExpress.Blazor
Declaration
[Parameter]
DateTime MinDate { get; set; }
Property Value
Type | Description |
---|---|
DateTime | The minimum date. |
Remarks
Use the MinDate
and MaxDate properties to specify a range of available dates at runtime. Note that the maximum date should be greater than the minimum date; otherwise, an exception occurs. The date editor’s calendar disables dates that are out of the range and navigation arrows for them. If a user types a date outside this range, the date editor keeps the previously selected date.
The default minimum and maximum values are DateTime.MinValue and DateTime.MaxValue.
To specify the minimum and maximum dates in markup, use DxDateEditSettings.MinDate and DxDateEditSettings.MaxDate properties.
The IDateEditSettings interface allows you to get and customize settings of a date editor at runtime. You can get editor settings in the following ways:
Call the GetColumnEditSettings method to get editor settings of the column bound to the specified data source field.
Important
You need to enclose your code between BeginUpdate and EndUpdate method calls to change values of Grid component parameters outside the Grid component markup. Otherwise, an exception occurs.
var dateEditSettings = e.Grid.GetColumnEditSettings<IDateEditSettings>("HireDate"); if(dateEditSettings != null) { e.Grid.BeginUpdate(); dateEditSettings.MaxDate = DateTime.Today.AddDays(14); e.Grid.EndUpdate(); }
- Handle the CustomizeFilterRowEditor event to customize a cell editor in the filter row.
void Grid_CustomizeFilterRowEditor(GridCustomizeFilterRowEditorEventArgs e) { if(e.EditSettings is IDateEditSettings dateEditSettings) dateEditSettings.MaxDate = DateTime.Today.AddDays(14); }
- Handle the CustomizeDataRowEditor event to customize a cell editor in a data row.
void Grid_CustomizeDataRowEditor(GridCustomizeDataRowEditorEventArgs e) { if(e.EditSettings is IDateEditSettings dateEditSettings) dateEditSettings.MaxDate = DateTime.Today.AddDays(14); }
