GridLookUpEdit Events

An editor that has lookup functionality using a feature-rich dropdown Data Grid (GridControl). You can display lookup records in a tabular format, banded tabular format, or as tiles (which can be arranged in one or multiple columns/rows, rendered as a list or a Kanban board).

Name	Description
AutoSearch	Fires only when the editor SearchMode property equals AutoSearch. In this mode, the editor filters out data source records that do not match the currently entered text, and displays remaining records in the drop-down panel. The AutoSearch event is optional, it allows you to fine-tune the search. See the GridLookUpEdit class description to learn more.
AutoSearchComplete	Fires when a search in AutoSearch mode completes.
AutoSizeChanged	This event is not relevant for this class. Inherited from Control.
AutoSuggest	Fires only when the SearchMode property equals AutoSuggest. In this mode, the editor runs the asynchronous Task assigned in the event handler to retrieve a list of drop-down panel items. See the GridLookUpEdit class description for more information.
AutoSuggestComplete	Fires after the GridLookUpEdit.AutoSuggest event is finished, and allows you to additionally customize the editor.
BackColorChanged	This event is not supported by the BaseEdit class. Inherited from BaseEdit.
BackgroundImageChanged	Occurs when the value of the BackgroundImage property changes. Inherited from Control.
BackgroundImageLayoutChanged	Occurs when the BackgroundImageLayout property changes. Inherited from Control.
BeforePopup	Fires when the editor’s pop-up is about to be displayed. Inherited from PopupBaseEdit.
BindingContextChanged	Occurs when the value of the BindingContext property changes. Inherited from Control.
ButtonClick	Occurs when a button editor’s button is clicked. Inherited from ButtonEdit.
ButtonPressed	Occurs when pressing an editor button. Inherited from ButtonEdit.
CausesValidationChanged	Occurs when the value of the CausesValidation property changes. Inherited from Control.
ChangeUICues	Occurs when the focus or keyboard user interface (UI) cues change. Inherited from Control.
Click	Occurs when the control is clicked. Inherited from Control.
ClientSizeChanged	Occurs when the value of the ClientSize property changes. Inherited from Control.
Closed	Allows you to perform specific actions with respect to how the popup window was closed. Inherited from PopupBaseEdit.
CloseUp	Enables you to specify whether the modifications performed within the editor’s popup window should be accepted by the editor. Inherited from PopupBaseEdit.
ContextMenuChanged	Occurs when the value of the ContextMenu property changes. Inherited from Control.
ContextMenuStripChanged	Occurs when the value of the ContextMenuStrip property changes. Inherited from Control.
ControlAdded	Occurs when a new control is added to the Control.ControlCollection. Inherited from Control.

CustomDisplayText	Enables custom display text to be provided for an editor. Inherited from BaseEdit.
CustomHighlightText	Allows you to highlight or custom paint strings within the control’s text. This event is supported in Advanced mode (see RepositoryItemTextEdit.UseAdvancedMode). Inherited from TextEdit.
CustomizeAutoCompleteSource	Allows you to supply custom auto-complete text suggestions dynamically each time a user types a new word in the text box. This event is in effect in advanced mode when the AutoCompleteSource option is set to CustomSource, and the AutoCompleteMode option is set to SuggestSingleWord. Inherited from TextEdit.
CustomTextLineHeight	Allows you to specify the height of a line of text in Advanced Mode. Inherited from TextEdit.
Disposed	Occurs when the component is disposed by a call to the Dispose() method. Inherited from Component.

PreviewKeyDown	Occurs before the KeyDown event when a key is pressed while focus is on this control. Inherited from Control.
