GridView.GetDataRowHandleByGroupRowHandle(Int32) Method

Returns the row handle of the first data row within a group.

Namespace: DevExpress.XtraGrid.Views.Grid

Assembly: DevExpress.XtraGrid.v24.2.dll

NuGet Packages: DevExpress.Win.Grid, DevExpress.Win.Navigation

#Declaration

public int GetDataRowHandleByGroupRowHandle(
    int groupRowHandle
)

#Parameters

Name Type Description
groupRowHandle Int32

Specifies the group row by its row handle.

#Returns

Type Description
Int32

The row handle of the first grid row owned by the target group.

#Remarks

The GetDataRowHandleByGroupRowHandle method searches all nesting hierarchy levels. This means that the row obtained is not necessarily the group row’s immediate child. Note that if the groupRowHandle parameter refers to a data row, the function simply returns the parameter value.

Refer to the Working with Groups in Code topic for additional information.

Note

Detail pattern Views do not contain data and they are never displayed within XtraGrid. So, the GetDataRowHandleByGroupRowHandle member must not be invoked for these Views. The GetDataRowHandleByGroupRowHandle member can only be used with Views that display real data within the Grid Control. Use the following methods to access these Views with which an end user interacts at runtime.

The following code snippets (auto-collected from DevExpress Examples) contain references to the GetDataRowHandleByGroupRowHandle(Int32) method.
