Remarks

To implement custom logic for choosing the template, create a DataTemplateSelector descendant, and override the SelectTemplate method. This method returns a data template for the specified list item.

The editor does not use ItemTemplateSelector and the DisplayMember property simultaneously since the DisplayMember converts data source values to display to simple types, and ItemTemplateSelector requires object types.
