ASPxNavBar.EnableHotTrack Property

Gets or sets a value that specifies whether specific elements of NavBar (such as items or headers) can visually respond to mouse hovering.

Namespace: DevExpress.Web

Assembly: DevExpress.Web.v24.2.dll

Declaration

[DefaultValue(true)]
public bool EnableHotTrack { get; set; }

Property Value

Type Default Description
Boolean true

true if the navbar’s specific elements can be hot-tracked; otherwise, false.

Remarks

Some elements of the navbar control’s user interface can respond to mouse movement i.e. change their appearance, when the mouse pointer is being moved over them. These elements are items and headers of groups in particular. Note that items can be hot-tracked if they belong to a group whose NavBarGroup.ItemLinkMode property is set to the GroupItemLinkMode.ContentBounds value (or to the GroupItemLinkMode.Default value if the GroupItemLinkMode.ContentBounds is assigned to the navbar’s ASPxNavBar.ItemLinkMode property).

Use the EnableHotTrack property to control the availability of the hot-tracked state for the specific elements (items and headers) when the mouse pointer hovers over them. The style used to represent the hot-tracked state is specified via the AppearanceStyle.HoverStyle property which can be available via the corresponding style settings of an element (for instance, the ASPxNavBar.ItemStyle, ASPxNavBar.GroupHeaderStyle or ASPxNavBar.GroupHeaderStyleCollapsed).
