ASPxCaptcha.IsValid Property

Gets or sets a value that indicates whether the text entered into the text box coincides with the automatically generated code displayed within the challenge image.

Namespace: DevExpress.Web

Assembly: DevExpress.Web.v24.2.dll

Declaration

[DefaultValue(false)]
public virtual bool IsValid { get; set; }

Property Value

Type Default Description
Boolean false

true if the entered text successfully passed verification; otherwise, false.

Remarks

The IsValid property allows you to find out whether an end-user has correctly recognized the challenge image’s code, and whether the entered text confirms human interaction. The IsValid property’s value is automatically defined within the ASPxCaptcha control, depending upon the internally performed verification.

If a built-in validation mechanism is used for the text box‘ value (CaptchaValidationSettings.EnableValidation property is set to true, and some validation rules are defined via the ASPxCaptcha.ValidationSettings property), the IsValid property can be set manually, for instance, in a case when you don’t want to display the error text (defined via the CaptchaValidationSettings.ErrorText property) for an invalid editor.

The following code snippet (auto-collected from DevExpress Examples) contains a reference to the IsValid property.
