Namespace: DevExpress.Xpf.Bars

Assembly: DevExpress.Xpf.Core.v24.2.dll

NuGet Package: DevExpress.Wpf.Core

#Declaration

public BarItemDisplayMode BarItemDisplayMode { get; set; }

#Property Value

Type Description
BarItemDisplayMode

A BarItemDisplayMode enumeration value that specifies whether the content, glyph or both are displayed in the tool bar items.

Available values:

Name Description
Default

A link is represented on-screen using default settings, and this is dependant on the position where the link is displayed (in a bar or menu).

Content

A link is represented on-screen using the item’s BarItem.Content.

ContentAndGlyph

A link is represented on-screen using the item’s BarItem.Content and glyph (BarItem.Glyph or BarItem.LargeGlyph).

#Remarks

By default, if a tool bar item’s glyph is specified using the BarItem.Glyph or BarItem.LargeGlyph property, it is displayed in the item. If the glyph is not specified, the tool bar item displays its content. Using the BarItemDisplayMode property, you can specify items contained in the current tool bar will display contents instead of glyphs, or display both.

You can override this setting for a particular item, using the BarItem.BarItemDisplayMode property. If the current tool bar is contained in a BarContainerControl, you can use the BarContainerControl.BarItemDisplayMode property to specify the global setting common to all tool bars in this container.
