BarContainerControl.BarItemDisplayMode Property

Gets or sets whether the content, glyph or both are displayed in the bar items residing in the current BarContainerControl.

BarItemDisplayMode

A BarItemDisplayMode enumeration value that specifies whether the content, glyph or both are displayed in the bar items residing in the current BarContainerControl.

Available values:

Name Description
Default

A link is represented on-screen using default settings, and this is dependant on the position where the link is displayed (in a bar or menu).

Content

A link is represented on-screen using the item’s BarItem.Content.

ContentAndGlyph

A link is represented on-screen using the item’s BarItem.Content and glyph (BarItem.Glyph or BarItem.LargeGlyph).

#Remarks

By default, bar items display glyphs specified by the BarItem.Glyph or BarItem.LargeGlyph property. Using the BarItemDisplayMode property, you can specify the items in the bars or tool bars residing in the current BarContainerControl will display the item content instead of glyphs, or display both. You can also override this setting for a particular bar or tool bar, using the Bar.BarItemDisplayMode or ToolBarControlBase.BarItemDisplayMode property, respectively.
