Disabled | The grid does not highlight the focused merged cell and does not allow users to edit merged cells. |
FocusedCell | Users can focus a cell within the merged batch and edit this cell. |
VisibleCells | When a user edits a focused merged cell, all cells in the merged batch and visible on screen are modified. |

Remarks
You can use the AllowCellMerge property to merge neighboring cells with the same value in GridView and BandedGridView.
