TextOptions.BeginUpdate() Method

In This Article

Prevents a text’s visual updates when TextOptions are modified, until the EndUpdate() or CancelUpdate() method is called.

Namespace: DevExpress.Utils

Assembly: DevExpress.Utils.v24.2.dll

NuGet Packages: DevExpress.Utils, DevExpress.Wpf.Core

#Declaration

[Browsable(false)]
[EditorBrowsable(EditorBrowsableState.Never)]
public void BeginUpdate()

#Remarks

Use the BeginUpdate method to freeze the current text’s TextOptions. Then safely perform required modifications. When all required actions are done, call the EndUpdate() to unlock and redraw the text immediately. Alternatively, you can use the CancelUpdate() method that unlocks the text, but does not redraw it immediately.
