PivotGridControl.ShowUnboundExpressionEditor(PivotGridField) Method

Invokes the Expression Editor used to create expressions for unbound fields.

field PivotGridField

A PivotGridField object that specifies the unbound field.

#Remarks

Data for unbound fields can be provided within the PivotGridControl.CustomUnboundFieldData event handler, or by specifying an expression via the PivotGridField.UnboundExpression property. At runtime, an end-user can edit expressions for unbound columns using the Expression Editor.

End-users can invoke this editor using a field’s context menu if the PivotGridField.AllowUnboundExpressionEditor option is enabled. Use the ShowUnboundExpressionEditor method to show the Expression Editor in code. Refer to the Invoking Expression Editor topic to learn more.
