Remarks

The Assign method is used to copy public properties and event handlers from the source repository item to the current RepositoryItemMRUEdit object. This makes it possible to have several MRU editors with the same behavior and look & feel.

The item parameter can represent any RepositoryItem-derived object. The Assign method copies properties common to the source and to the current repository item. Thus, if the source is a RepositoryItemMRUEdit object, all its public properties and event handlers will be copied to the current object. For other source repository item object types, only properties and event handlers of the immediate common ancestor will be assigned.

This method is used internally and you’ll rarely need to call it from your code.
