Remarks

The Assign method is used to copy public properties and event handlers from the source repository item specified by the item parameter to the current RepositoryItemBlobBaseEdit object. This method is called by Assign methods of the classes derived from RepositoryItemBlobBaseEdit. This makes it possible to have several BLOB editors with the same behavior and look & feel.

The item parameter can represent any RepositoryItem-derived object. The Assign method copies properties common to the source and the current repository item. Thus, if the source is a RepositoryItemBlobBaseEdit object, all its public properties and event handlers will be copied to the current object. For other source repository item types, only properties and event handlers of the immediate common ancestor will be assigned.

This method is used internally and generally you do not need to call it from your code.
