Remarks

Use the ThreadSafeField property to safely access basic field settings when PivotGridControl is in Asynchronous Mode, and the field’s PivotGridField.SortMode property is set to FieldSortMode.DisplayText.

The PivotFieldEventArgs.Field property provides full access to field settings, but it does not guarantee thread safety.
