ValidationHintBaseDefaultProperties.IconType Property

Gets or sets one of the predefined images to be displayed within the ValidationHint object’s hint.

A ValidationHintIconType enumeration value that specifies one of predefined images to be displayed within the ValidationHint object’s hint.

Application

An application icon.

Error

An error icon.

Information

An information icon.

Question

A question icon.

Warning

A warning icon.

None

A ValidationHint will not display any icon.

Remarks

If a ValidationHint object displays its hint for the current validation state (see the ValidationHintBaseDefaultProperties.ShowHint property), you can assign both text and image to this hint. There are two ways to set a hint image:

  • using the ValidationHintBaseDefaultProperties.Icon property to manually assign an image;
  • using the IconType property to choose one of multiple pre-defined glyphs (warning, question, information, etc.).

If both properties are set, the ValidationHintBaseDefaultProperties.Icon setting is always prioritized.
