#Property Value

Type Description
AppearanceObject

A AppearanceObject object that provides the appearance settings used to paint the data rows.

#Remarks

The Row property specifies the appearance settings of the data cells that reside within data rows. Even and odd rows can be painted using different appearances. Use the GridViewAppearances.EvenRow and GridViewAppearances.OddRow properties for this purpose. In this case, the appearance settings specified by the Row property are ignored.

To specify custom appearances for individual data rows, handle the GridView.RowStyle event. Row cells can also be custom painted using the GridView.CustomDrawCell event.

For more information on appearances, see the Appearance and Conditional Formatting topic.
