TcxFormatController.RegExprDateEditMask Property

Specifies the mask with a regular expression syntax to enter date values.

#Declaration

Delphi
property RegExprDateEditMask: string read; write;

#Property Value

Type Description
string

A regular expression mask.

#Remarks

Date editors (for instance, TcxCustomDateEdit descendants) use the regular expression syntax mask specified using the RegExprDateEditMask property when the corresponding mask mode is set using an editor’s Properties.InputKind property. The mask is constructed based on the ShortDateFormat, ShortMonthNames, and DateSeparator fields exposed by the global FormatSettings variable defined in the SysUtils unit. In RAD Studio 2010, these fields correspond to global variables defined in this unit. When the RegExprDateEditMask property is changed (either by the TcxFormatController class to reflect system locale changes or by changing the property directly), all subscribed controls receive a “format changed” notification.

Note

To improve performance when modifying several TcxFormatController properties simultaneously, enclose the code that performs these modifications within the BeginUpdate/EndUpdate method blocks. In addition, you can set an application’s UpdateFormatSettings property to False to prevent the TcxFormatController class from updating its properties in response to changes made to the system locale settings.
