Ribbon Tab Area Toolbar
Available in the Office 2019 Ribbon, Office 2016 Ribbon, and Office 2016 Tablet Ribbon styles, the Tab Area Toolbar resides inside the tab area and is aligned to its right edge. The Tab Area Search Toolbar and Tab Area Toolbar allow end-users to access important commands without navigating through tabs or tab groups.
Toolbar settings (visibility and content) are stored by a TdxRibbonTabAreaToolbar object, which can be accessed using the Ribbon’s TabAreaToolbar property. Hiding the tab area hides the toolbar as well.
Content Customization
As with the Quick Access Toolbar and Tab Area Search Toolbar, the Tab Area Toolbar is simply a container for a traditional toolbar. To provide content, you first need to create a toolbar and populate it with items. Then, use the Ribbon’s TabAreaToolbar.Toolbar property to embed this toolbar into the Tab Area Toolbar container. Unlike the Quick Access Toolbar, neither the Tab Area Toolbar nor Tab Area Search Toolbar can be customized by end-users at runtime.
