ProtectedRange.SetPassword(String) Method

Specifies the password that unlocks a range on a protected worksheet.

password String

A string that is the password that the end-user must enter to edit the protected range.

#Remarks

When the end-user attempts to edit cells in a protected range on a protected sheet, the Unlock Range dialog appears prompting for a password. Entering the string specified by the SetPassword method unlocks the worksheet range specified by the ProtectedRange.Range or the ProtectedRange.RefersTo properties.

You can also specify a ProtectedRange.SecurityDescriptor which enables particular users to edit the range without entering the password.
