CellValue.IsNumeric Property

Gets whether the cell contains a number.

Namespace: DevExpress.Spreadsheet

Assembly: DevExpress.Spreadsheet.v24.2.Core.dll

NuGet Package: DevExpress.Spreadsheet.Core

Declaration

public bool IsNumeric { get; }

Property Value

Type Description
Boolean

true, if the cell value is of the numeric type; otherwise, false

Remarks

You can also use the CellValue.Type property to obtain the cell value type. This property returns CellValueType.Numeric, if a cell value is a number.

To get the number contained in a cell, use the CellValue.NumericValue property. For more information on cell values, refer to the Cell Data Types document.

Note

Note that dates and times are stored in cells as numbers that are displayed according to the applied date and time formats. So, if a cell displays a date and time value, both IsNumeric and CellValue.IsDateTime properties return true and the CellValue.Type property returns CellValueType.DateTime. The CellValue.NumericValue property returns a number contained in a cell, and the CellValue.DateTimeValue property returns the DateTime object, which specifies a date and time value represented by that number.
