#Remarks
The Appearance property can be used in a number of ways:
- By reading the Appearance property’s attributes to custom paint a hint using the default settings. In this case, set the CustomDrawObjectEventArgs.Handled property to true to prevent the default painting mechanism from painting over your paintings.
- To change specific attributes of the Appearance property and leave the CustomDrawObjectEventArgs.Handled property set to false. This forces the NavBar to paint the hint using the default painting mechanism but with the modified appearance settings.
