GanttView.NewTaskDrawing Event

Occurs when an end user draws a new task in the Gantt area's new item row (on MouseMove) and allows you to change the newly created task's finish date. This is a routed event.

Event Data

The NewTaskDrawing event's data class is NewTaskDrawingEventArgs. The following properties provide information specific to this event:

Property Description
FinishDate Gets or sets the newly created task's finish date.
Handled Gets or sets a value that indicates the present state of the event handling for a routed event as it travels the route. Inherited from RoutedEventArgs.
OriginalSource Gets the original reporting source as determined by pure hit testing, before any possible Source adjustment by a parent class. Inherited from RoutedEventArgs.
RoutedEvent Gets or sets the RoutedEvent associated with this RoutedEventArgs instance. Inherited from RoutedEventArgs.
Source Gets or sets a reference to the object that raised the event. Inherited from RoutedEventArgs.
StartDate Gets the newly created task's start date.

Remarks

Use the event argument's NewTaskDrawingEventArgs.StartDate property to get the newly created task's start date.

The NewTaskDrawingEventArgs.FinishDate property allows you to change the newly created task's finish date.
