Specifies the hash value of a password used to protect a worksheet or the spreadsheet document structure.

Remarks

This property supports the internal infrastructure and is not intended to be used directly from your code. The HashValue property value is calculated from the password string passed as the constructor‘s APassword parameter when an instance of the strong password protection provider is created. The CheckPassword function calculates the specified string’s hash value (by using the hashing algorithm, salt value, and the number of iterative runs specified by the HashAlgorithm, SaltValue, and SpinCount properties, respectively) and compares it to the HashValue property value.

Note

The HashValueAsString property returns the hash value as a Unicode string.
