You can use the following options to populate a chart with data:

Create a Series Manually. You can add series to the chart’s collection at design time or in code. The Chart Control displays a series only if this series has points. Populate series with points in one of the following ways: Manually add points to a Series. Define arguments and values for each series point. Specify series data members. A series obtains point arguments and values from a data source.

Create Series Automatically Generate Series from a Data Source. This topic describes how to use a series template to generate series from a chart’s data source. Pivot Charting (Integration with a Pivot Grid Control). This topic describes how to load data from the Pivot Grid. Use ControlRowSource to integrate the chart with a Data Grid, Vertical Grid, Tree List, or List Box.
