Item Link

Item links are used in a filter control to uniquely identify filter items available for building and applying filter conditions. This is required since an object linked to a filter control may contain several filter items (i.e. grid item) that reference the same data item (i.e., field). So, there should be a unique correspondence between filter items used in the filter control and the linked object’s filter items. The linked object implements the following IcxFilterControl members to ensure this:

• The ItemLinks and ItemLinkNames properties

• The GetItemLink and GetItemLinkName functions
