Starts the ChartControl initialization.

Remarks

To finish the control initialization, use the ChartControl.EndInit method. Call the BeginInit and EndInit methods to prevent the chart layout’s recalculation until the initialization is complete.

Note

The BeginInit method prevents any validation until the ChartControl.EndInit method is called.

The chart’s layout is recalculated in the following cases:

• A chart is being rendered

• When you use the following properties:

  • DateTimeScaleOptions.MeasureUnit, DateTimeScaleOptions.MeasureUnitMultiplier
  • DateTimeSummaryOptions.MeasureUnit, DateTimeSummaryOptions.MeasureUnitMultiplier
  • Range.Auto
  • Range.AutoSideMargins
  • Range.EndSideMargin, Range.StartSideMargin
  • Range.MaxValue, Range.MinValue
  • Range.MaxValueInternal, Range.MinValueInternal
  • Range.SideMarginSizeUnit
  • Range.SideMarginsValue
  • Range.Tag
  • SeriesBase.ActualArgumentScaleType
  • TimeSpanScaleOptions.MeasureUnit, TimeSpanScaleOptions.MeasureUnitMultiplier

• When you call the following methods:

  • ChartControl.CalcHitInfo
  • ChartControl.DrillDownToArgument, ChartControl.DrillDownToSeries, ChartControl.DrillDownToSeriesPoint, ChartControl.DrillUp
  • ChartControl.EndInit

  • Range.SetMinMaxValues
  • RadarDiagram.DiagramToPoint, RadarDiagram.PointToDiagram
  • WorkspaceManager.SaveLayout with a ChartControl object passed as a parameter
  • XYDiagram2D.DiagramToPoint, XYDiagram2D.PointToDiagram
  • XYDiagram2D.ShowCrosshair
