Accessing Cell Values

In most cases you need to access a cell’s contents when handling specific events (for instance, PivotGridControl.CustomCellDisplayText, PivotGridControl.CustomDrawCell, etc). The grid’s events provide the event parameters which lets you obtain the contents (value and display text) of the currently processed cell.

To get a cell’s contents at any time you can use the PivotGridControl.Cells property. It provides members to get the coordinates of the selected and focused cells, a specific cell’s value and the display text, etc.

For information on how to access the datasource records which correspond to a specific cell refer to the Obtaining Underlying Data (Drill-Down) topic.
