Remarks

A click on the Search Button performs a search in the attached object (see SearchControl.Client). To hide the Search Button that is displayed in the SearchControl by default, set the ShowSearchButton property to false.

A search can also be performed automatically on typing text (see RepositoryItemSearchControl.AllowAutoApply).
