HamburgerMenu.IsWindowBackButtonVisible Property

Gets or sets whether the menu’s parent, that supports the back navigation, displays the back button when the back command is specified and can be executed.

Namespace: DevExpress.Xpf.WindowsUI

Assembly: DevExpress.Xpf.Controls.v24.2.dll

NuGet Package: DevExpress.Wpf.Controls

#Declaration

public bool IsWindowBackButtonVisible { get; set; }

#Property Value

Type Description
Boolean

true, if the menu’s parent, that supports the back navigation, displays the back button; otherwise, false. The default is true.

#Remarks

If the menu’s parent supports the back navigation (for instance, the ThemedWindow supports this feature; see ThemedWindow.NavigateBackCommand), you can synchronize the menu’s back command (see HamburgerMenu.GoBackCommand) with the parent’s back command by enabling the HamburgerMenu.SyncWithWindowBackButton option. If this option is enabled, the IsWindowBackButtonVisible property overrides the parent’s ShowBackButton property.

The IsWindowBackButtonVisible setting is enabled by default, which means that if the HamburgerMenu.GoBackCommand property is specified, and the command can be executed (see ICommand.CanExecute), the parent’s back button is automatically visible. Set the IsWindowBackButtonVisible property to False to prevent the parent’s back button form being displayed.
