The “InsertTableOfContentsField” string.

#Remarks

Use this property to perform the following operations:

  • Access the Insert Table of Contents Field item’s properties
  • Add/remove the item to/from a group.

The Insert Table of Contents Field item is a button in the Table of Contents group. This button inserts the TOC field that generates a table of contents. Use the Add Paragraphs to Table of Contents menu‘s items to add paragraphs to the table of contents.

The Insert Table of Contents Field button is disabled if a TOC field is selected.

The following code snippet removes the Insert Table of Contents Field item from the ribbon:
