Specifies a parent style for the current character style.

Remarks

You can use this property to create a distinct character style based on another style within the same document. The current character style imports all font attributes from a source assigned to the Parent property. Then, you need to adjust only specific font attributes (such as color, underline style, size, etc.) to differentiate the new style from its source.

The Parent property’s default value is nil.
