Paint Styles

Dock controls can be painted using five predefined paint styles. The paint style is specified using the docking manager’s LookAndFeel property.

The possible paint styles are illustrated in the table below. Images display a tab container and a dock panel whose auto hide feature is enabled.

Standard NET
XP Office11

If the XP or Office11 painting style is applied, the color scheme of dock controls is specified by system settings. You can only change font settings of dock controls in such an instance.

Note

Specifying styles using the look & feel technology enables you to provide a common paint style for the entire application, since most Developer Express controls also make use of this technology. To apply a common application style, drop a TcxLookAndFeelController or TdxSkinController component onto a form and adjust component settings as required. Please refer to the component descriptions to learn more.
