Interleaved 2 of 5
- 2 minutes to read
Interleaved 2 of 5 is a high-density numerical barcode based on the Standard 2 of 5 symbology. It is used primarily in distribution and warehousing industries.
Refer to the following article for more details: Interleaved 2 of 5.
Note
Since digits are encoded in pairs, only an even number of digits can be encoded. Usually, an odd number of digits is encoded by adding “0” as the first digit.
Add the Bar Code to a Report
Drag the XRBarCode item from the DX.24.2: Report Controls tab and drop it onto the report.
Set the XRBarCode control’s Symbology property to Interleaved2of5 (an object of the Interleaved2of5Generator type).
Specify common barcode properties and properties specific to Interleaved 2 of 5.
Specific Properties
-
Gets or sets whether to calculate a checksum for the bar code.
-
Gets or sets the density of a bar code’s bars.
Runtime Example
The following code creates the Interleaved 2 of 5 barcode and specifies its properties.
using System;
using System.Collections.Generic;
using System.Drawing.Printing;
using System.Windows.Forms;
using DevExpress.XtraPrinting.BarCode;
using DevExpress.XtraReports.UI;
// ...
public XRBarCode CreateInterleaved2of5BarCode(string BarCodeText) {
// Create a barcode controle.
XRBarCode barCode = new XRBarCode();
// Set the barcode's type to Interleaved 2 of 5.
barCode.Symbology = new Interleaved2of5Generator();
// Adjust the barcode's main properties.
barCode.Text = BarCodeText;
barCode.Width = 400;
barCode.Height = 100;
// Adjust the properties specific to the barcode type.
((Interleaved2of5Generator)barCode.Symbology).CalcCheckSum = false;
((Interleaved2of5Generator)barCode.Symbology).WideNarrowRatio = 3;
return barCode;
}
