Touch Support

DevExpress controls support Windows Touch. This feature allows your end-users to interact with your applications on touch-enabled devices such as touch screen monitors or smartphones using familiar gestures.

Below is a list of DevExpress WPF controls with built-in touch support.

  • Data Grid, Tree List, Pivot Grid

    End-users can scroll DXGrid, DXTreeList, and DXPivotGrid content (horizontally and vertically), select rows and cells, reorder columns, sort data via touch on any touch-enabled screen, etc.

  • Tile and Layout

    Use the TileLayout feature to create applications that match the look and feel of Windows 8/10.

  • Scheduler

    End-users are able to interact with the date navigator and range control, navigate views via touch, etc.

  • Charts Suite

    End-users can use gestures (such as a tap, flick and pinch) to scroll, zoom, and rotate charts within your application.

  • Map Control

    Allows users to scroll, zoom, and rotate maps within your application on any touch-enabled screen.

  • Gauge Controls

    Allow end-users to manage interactive elements such as needles, knobs, buttons, etc., via touch on any touch-enabled screen.

  • Dock Windows

    Allow end-users to rearrange dock panels via touch on any touch-enabled screen.

  • Rich Text Editor

    End-users can interact with the UI, navigate through documents, zoom and pinch its contents via touch on any touch-enabled screen.

  • Spreadsheet

    End users can use standard touch gestures (tap, hold and flick) to scroll, zoom, and select shapes and pictures via touch on any touch-enabled screen.

  • PDF Viewer

    End users can use standard touch gestures (pinch, rotate, hold and scroll) via touch on any touch-enabled screen. Pages continue to scroll after a swipe.
