Namespace: DevExpress.ExpressApp.SystemModule

Assembly: DevExpress.ExpressApp.v24.2.dll

NuGet Package: DevExpress.ExpressApp

public SimpleAction SaveAction { get; }

Property Value

Type Description
SimpleAction

A SimpleAction object that is the Save Action.

Remarks

The Save Action commits the changes made to the object selected in the current View (see BaseObjectSpace.CommitChanges).

This Action’s Execute event is handled by the protected Save method, overridden in the BlazorModificationsController, WinModificationsController, and WebModificationsController in different ways. For example, in an ASP.NET Web Forms application, the Action’s state is not updated after execution by design.

The Save Action is active when the current View is root (see View.IsRoot). Additionally, in ASP.NET Web Forms applications, it is active when the View is displayed in edit mode (see DetailView.ViewEditMode). In Windows Forms applications, its active state depends on the ModificationsController.ModificationsHandlingMode property value.

The Save Action can be disabled if the current user does not have permission to change the current object.

Information on the Save Action is available in the Application Model‘s ActionDesign node. To access it, use the Model Editor.
