Controller.AfterConstruction Event

Occurs after a Controller is created.

Namespace: DevExpress.ExpressApp

Assembly: DevExpress.ExpressApp.v24.2.dll

NuGet Package: DevExpress.ExpressApp

#Declaration

public event EventHandler AfterConstruction

#Event Data

The AfterConstruction event's data class is EventArgs.

#Remarks

Handle this event to perform specific actions directly after creating the current Controller. For instance, initialize the Controller’s properties that are not listed in the Designer‘s Propertieswindow.

The following example demonstrates how to specify the ViewController.TargetObjectType property:

public partial class MyCustomController : ViewController {
   // ...
   private void MyCustomController_AfterConstruction(object sender, EventArgs e) {
      TargetObjectType = typeof(ReportData);
   }
}
