The following scheme should give you a quick and basic understanding of the Chart Control hierarchy. However, this is an abstract scheme, since it doesn't reflect certain key relations between these elements. The most important note, in this regard, concerns the diagram-series-axis relation, rooted in the series view types, which is inter-related with the diagram's type, and in turn, with the types and options of the associated axes.
