You can choose a maximized item within a FlowLayoutControl via the FlowLayoutControl.MaximizedElement property. The FlowLayoutControl.AnimateItemMaximization property specifies whether the item maximization process should be animated. You can also modify the animation time using the ItemMaximizationAnimationDuration property.

Use the FlowLayoutControl.IsItemMaximizationAnimationActive property to check whether the item maximization animation is currently running.
