Menu Templates
You can replace the look and feel of the view elements of the ASPxMenu control using templates. You can create templates for various element types: the item text, the item content, and the item submenu. An element’s template can be defined at the control level and the item level at the same time. In this case, the item-level template has priority.
The table below lists the members used to create templates.
Item level templates | Extension level templates | |
---|---|---|
Item text template | MenuItem.TextTemplate | ASPxMenuBase.ItemTextTemplate |
Item template | MenuItem.Template | ASPxMenuBase.ItemTemplate |
Submenu template | MenuItem.SubMenuTemplate | ASPxMenuBase.SubMenuTemplate |
Root item template | - | ASPxMenuBase.RootItemTemplate |
Root item text template | - | ASPxMenuBase.RootItemTextTemplate |
Note
A menu template cannot contain another menu control.
