ASPxReportDesigner.OpenReport(String) Method

Opens the report specified by its string identifier.

Namespace: DevExpress.XtraReports.Web

Assembly: DevExpress.XtraReports.v24.2.Web.WebForms.dll

NuGet Package: DevExpress.Web.Reporting

#Declaration

public void OpenReport(
    string reportUrl
)

#Parameters

Name Type Description
reportUrl String

A String that identifies a report.

#Remarks

The ASPxReportDesigner uses report name resolution services to obtain a report by name.

If you pass a string identifier to the OpenReport method, you should implement and register one of the following services to translate a name to a report instance.

IReportProvider
Allows you to implement a service that resolves a report name to a report instance.
IReportProviderAsync
Allows you to implement a service that asynchronously resolves a report name to a report instance.
ReportStorageWebExtension
A report storage for Web Reporting. The service is called when no other report name resolution services are available. It is designed to get reports from external storage (a file or a database) where they are saved in XML serialized format.
