ASPxTitleIndex.SoftFiltering Property

Gets or sets whether non-strict filtering is enabled within the ASPxTitleIndex.

Namespace: DevExpress.Web

Assembly: DevExpress.Web.v24.1.dll

NuGet Package: DevExpress.Web

Declaration

[DefaultValue(false)]
public bool SoftFiltering { get; set; }

Property Value

Type Default Description
Boolean false

true if non-strict filtering is enabled; otherwise, false.

Remarks

A filtering functionality within the ASPxTitleIndex is realized by using a specific filter box. A string typed within the filter box editor is automatically searched at the beginning of a data item‘s captions. To implement searching at any place in the data item caption, you can use a specific wildcard symbol “*”, which should be added before the search string. Enable the SoftFiltering property to automatically add wildcard symbols to the searched string, and enable non-strict filtering.
