Generally, the WinApplication class instance is created in a Windows Forms application, and the WebApplication class instance in an ASP.NET Web Forms application. Both these classes are the descendants of the XafApplication class. Their instances are created when starting the corresponding application (see the Main method implementation in the Windows Forms and ASP.NET Web Forms applications).

Generally, you do not need to use this method. If you need to initialize the application’s settings by custom values, replace the XafApplication.Setup method, which is called after the application has been created (in the Main method).
