IsGrantedExtensions.CanNavigate<T>(SecurityStrategy, String) Method

Checks whether the current user has a corresponding type permission that allows navigation to the specified item. Do not use this method with the Allow/Deny Permission Policy.

A SecurityStrategy object that specifies an application’s Security Strategy.

itemPath String

A String that is a path to a navigation item.

A Type for that this method finds a permission.

Returns

Type Description
Boolean

true, if the current user has a type permission that allows navigation to the specified item; otherwise, false.

Remarks

Use this method in applications with the obsolete Deny Permission Policy only. In applications with the Allow/Deny Permission Policy, use the CanNavigate(SecurityStrategy, String) overload.
