GridView.GetVisibleDetailView(Int32) Method
Gets the master row’s detail that is currently visible.
Namespace: DevExpress.XtraGrid.Views.Grid
Assembly: DevExpress.XtraGrid.v18.2.dll
Declaration
Parameters
Name | Type | Description |
---|---|---|
rowHandle | Int32 | An integer value specifying the handle of the master row whose visible detail is to be obtained. |
Returns
Type | Description |
---|---|
BaseView | A BaseView descendant representing the detail clone currently visible. null (Nothing in Visual Basic) if the specified master row is collapsed (no details are currently visible). |
Remarks
You can expand a master row and make a particular detail visible using the GridView.SetMasterRowExpandedEx method.
Note that you can also obtain detail Views not currently visible. Use the GridView.GetDetailView method for this purpose. The method obtains the detail specified by its relation index. If the GridView.GetVisibleDetailRelationIndex property value is specified, the GridView.GetDetailView method returns the same value as the GetVisibleDetailView method.
Please refer to the Master-Detail Relationships and Working with Master-Detail Relationships in Code topics for additional information.
Note
Detail pattern Views do not contain data and they are never displayed within XtraGrid. So, the GetVisibleDetailView member must not be invoked for these Views. The GetVisibleDetailView member can only be used with real Views that are displayed within the Grid Control. The real Views with which an end-user interacts at runtime can be accessed using the following methods.
- GridControl.MainView - returns the top most View in a grid;
- GridControl.FocusedView - returns the focused View;
- GridControl.DefaultView - returns the currently maximized View;
- the sender parameter of View specific events;
- GridView.GetDetailView - returns a detail clone View for a specific master row.
