Gets or sets whether users can set the editor’s value to a null reference by pressing the CTRL+DEL or CTRL+0 key combinations. This is a dependency property.

Namespace: DevExpress.Xpf.Editors

Assembly: DevExpress.Xpf.Core.v21.2.dll

NuGet Package: DevExpress.Wpf.Core

Declaration

public bool AllowNullInput { get; set; }

Property Value

Type Description
Boolean

true to allow null input by pressing the CTRL+DEL or CTRL+0 key combinations; otherwise, false.

Remarks

If the AllowNullInput property is set to true, users can set the editor’s value to a null reference by pressing the CTRL+DEL or CTRL+0 key combinations. If the BaseEdit.NullValue property is specified, its value is assigned to the BaseEdit.EditValue property. Otherwise, the BaseEdit.EditValue property is set to null.

Note

The CTRL+0 key combination does not work when using a French or German keyboard.

Note

When the user clears the text displayed within the text edit box by selecting it and pressing the Delete or Backspace key, the BaseEdit.EditValue property is set to a null reference. The AllowNullInput property is not in effect in this instance.
