DataLayoutControl.IsReadOnly Property

Gets or sets whether layout items’ editors are in read-only mode. This is a dependency property.

Namespace: DevExpress.Xpf.LayoutControl

Assembly: DevExpress.Xpf.LayoutControl.v18.2.dll

Declaration

public bool IsReadOnly { get; set; }

Property Value

Type Description
Boolean

true, if layout items’ editors are in read-only mode; otherwise, false.

Remarks

If the IsReadOnly property is set to true, all editors within automatically generated layout items will be read-only. Use the DataLayoutItem.IsReadOnly property to make a specific editor read-only.

Bind an item’s IsReadOnly property to DataLayoutControl’s IsReadOnly in the following implicit style to apply the DataLayoutControl’s IsReadOnly value to manually defined DataLayoutItem items:

<dxlc:DataLayoutControl.Resources>
  <Style TargetType="dxlc:DataLayoutItem">
    <Setter Property="IsReadOnly" Value="{Binding RelativeSource={RelativeSource AncestorType=dxlc:DataLayoutControl}, Path=IsReadOnly}"/>
  </Style>
</dxlc:DataLayoutControl.Resources>

Refer to the DataLayoutItem.IsActuallyReadOnly property for more information on cases when the linked editor is read-only.

The following code snippet (auto-collected from DevExpress Examples) contains a reference to the IsReadOnly property.
