Formatting Specifics
The Chart dashboard item automatically formats values displayed on the chart’s surface or using format settings specified for data items. The format of the following values is specified automatically, regardless of the format settings applied to data items:
- Numeric values displayed along the continuous X-axis. The numeric unit (Ones, Thousands, Millions, …) is selected automatically, and displayed with two fractional digits.
- Values displayed along the Y-Axis. The numeric unit (Ones, Thousands, Millions, …) is selected automatically, and displayed with two fractional digits.
Note
If the measurement’s format is set to Percent, values displayed along the Y-axis are automatically formatted as percentages.
- Values displayed within series point labels when the Content option is set to Percent. These values are displayed with two fractional digits.
Format settings of data items affect the following values displayed on the chart:
- Values displayed within series point tooltips.
- Values displayed within series point labels.
- Values displayed within legend items.
- Values displayed along the X-axis whose type is not set to Continuous.
