Remarks

This option is in effect if the View’s ColumnView.Editable property is set to true.

Merged cells (see the OptionsColumn.AllowMerge and GridOptionsView.AllowCellMerge properties) are always non-editabe, the AllowEdit property has no effect on such cells.
