RepositoryItemCheckEdit.Assign(RepositoryItem) Method

Copies the settings of a specific repository item to the current one.

Namespace: DevExpress.XtraEditors.Repository

Assembly: DevExpress.XtraEditors.v19.2.dll

Declaration

public override void Assign(
    RepositoryItem item
)

Parameters

Name Type Description
item RepositoryItem

A RepositoryItem object representing the source of the operation.

Remarks

The Assign method is used to copy public properties and assigned event handlers from the source repository item specified by the item parameter to the current RepositoryItemCheckEdit object. This makes it possible to have several check editors with the same behavior and look & feel.

The item parameter can represent any RepositoryItem-derived object. The Assign method copies properties common to the source and to the current repository item. Thus, if the source is a RepositoryItemCheckEdit object, all its public properties and event handlers will be copied to the current destination object. For other types of source repository item object, only properties and event handlers of the immediate common ancestor will be assigned.

This method is used internally and you do not need to call it from your code.
